The Full Story
In 1998, a dream took flight as the Jubilee Group opened its very first location Café Jubilee in the heart of Victoria. This charming café quickly won the hearts of locals and tourists alike, becoming a spot for anyone who stepped into the Gozo capital. Our success sparked a new chapter when we expanded to the historic streets of Valletta in 2000, launching Café Jubilee Valletta. The overwhelming response to our offerings inspired us to create Jubilee Foods, a trove of Gozitan delicacies, featuring hand-crafted jams, delightful chutneys, traditional pastries, and the crowd-favourite - our Nanna's ravioli.

With our businesses flourishing, in 2011, we unveiled Murella Pizzeria and Restaurant, in Marsalforn. Adding a spot to the same locale Candy Café just two years later. Our journey didn’t stop there; we opened a restaurant in Gzira that showcases the flavours from our culinary travels, aptly named Ayu. The menu is a tapestry woven from our adventures around the globe, bringing a taste of the world to our guests.

Embracing new horizons, we also stepped into the hospitality realm with Murella Living, a retreat located in Marsalforn, the very place where our dreams first began.

Over the past 26 years, our passion has taken us beyond the shores of Malta. We proudly opened a provisional Café Jubilee in the enchanting city of Budapest and even represented our culinary heritage at the Maltese pavilion during the Shanghai World Expo in 2010.

Our international adventure resumed with the opening of the D Canal House, a bed and breakfast in Sri Lanka, and the recent confirmation of the management of the restaurant on the Maltese Pavilion at World Expo in Osaka in 2025.
